This gorgeous orange mushroom is known as "Chicken in the Woods" and it fairly common, but the moment I saw this beautiful specimen, I knew it was special. wonderfully formed and pristine! The only thing that was missing was the correct sunlight. So I found myself waiting, as so many wildlife photographers do, for the perfect moment. Waiting for the wind to blow the branches just right so the sunlight could filter down to illuminate the happy orange mushrooms.
